Ideal For Children Who:
Love the Outdoors & Nature.
Enjoy hands-on creation and experiential project-based learning.
Flourish in collaborative, social play and exploration.

In Yomitan, nestled along the beautiful coast of Okinawa, nature itself is the finest teacher.

Here, learning is free from the confinement of four walls, unfolding across an expansive  35,000 sq ft open campus with the crystal-clear ocean just a stone’s throw away.

Under the guidance of professional educators and local mentors, children will learn to observe the tides, explore forest ecosystems, and naturally take their first steps toward cross-cultural communication within an authentic, full-Japanese immersive preschool environment.

◆ Holistic Sensory Learning: Navigating freely between lush forests and pristine beaches, children build a deep respect for life through observing the ocean tides and touching the rich soil.

◆ Mixed-Age Exploration: Children of various ages live and play together, learning the essential values of mutual aid, leadership, and social adaptability through real-world peer interactions.

◆ Deep Local Integration: This journey is a profound, immersive practice of traditional Japanese culture and natural ethics.

Inside this unique nature school, children have no textbooks.
They use all their senses to observe their teachers’ guidance, and use their whole bodies to interact and bond with their local Japanese peers.
Completely unplugged from electronic screens and over-refined plastic toys, the beaches, local fields, and wild forests become their ultimate classrooms.
The resilience and raw courage that naturally bloom within this unfamiliar yet nurturing environment, this is the ultimate gift we wish to bestow upon your child.

Traditional Red-Tiled Wooden Houses & Stunning Natural Surroundings

  • The School Architecture: The school building is a traditional wooden house topped with authentic Okinawan red tiles. Inside, an earthen floor centers around a cozy, traditional hearth.

  • The Outdoor Spaces: The garden is shaded by four majestic, towering banyan trees, featuring a sandy pit for tactile play in the yard and a small vegetable patch in the backyard.

  • The Cultural Setting: Enveloped by traditional Okinawan heritage architecture, the entire campus is nestled beautifully within a local cultural park.

Local Ingredients & Farm-to-Table Education

  • Nourishing Growth: Utilizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients, our carefully curated meals are deliberately designed to promote physical development while deeply nourishing children’s sensory experiences.

  • A Warm Living Space: Children can savor their meals in a warm, home-like atmosphere, enjoying a safe, cozy, and thoroughly comfortable space for dining and rest.

Respecting Child Autonomy

  • Valuing Free Will: The school highly values each child’s self-awareness and personal agency, empowering them to freely choose the activities they love throughout their growth journey.

  • The Morning Assembly: During the first 30 minutes of every morning assembly, all students gather together to collaboratively co-create and plan everyone’s itinerary for that very day.

An Experiential, Nature-Based Learning Model

  • Sensory Growth & Resilience: We place a strong emphasis on letting children play freely within the great outdoors, developing their five core senses while learning deeply from iterative, repeated failures.

  • Learning Without Borders: Utilizing Okinawa’s majestic ocean and lush wild forests, we enable children to learn self-reliance, independence, and exploration within an environment entirely free from walls.

Non-Traditional Educational Stays: Deep Local Integration

  • Beyond Sightseeing: This journey transcends standard sightseeing; instead, children directly integrate into local preschools to experience the cultural depth and true rhythm of the local neighborhood.

  • Irreplaceable Sensory Connection: Touching the raw texture of seashells and breathing in the forest’s phytoncides—these rich, five-sensory experiences deliver an authentic emotional connection that digital learning can never replicate.

  • The Premium Parent Experience: Concurrently, parents can fully embrace the beauty of Okinawa at their own pace—unwinding in chic, artisan cafes and exploring the island’s most breathtaking, majestic landscapes.

A Day at School: Summer Camp

晨會

09:00 - 09:30 Morning Assembly

Children discuss what they want to do that day, thinking about how to spend their time and making their daily plan. At the same time, this is a dedicated window for children and staff to discuss activity times, locations, required items, preparations, and to raise other requests. Staff will also check on the children's physical and mental well-being during this time, helping to determine the feasibility of activity arrangements and providing guidance. Drop-off is available from 8:45.

09:30 - 11:30 Morning Activity Time

This period is for children to do what they want to do. For example, making fires, playing hide-and-seek, searching for insects during walks, playing on the beach, and more. Children can freely choose their activities from endless choices; this environment nurtures their self-independence every single day.

11:30 - 12:30 Lunch

Lunch features fresh local Okinawa vegetables, focused on a soup and two to three small side dishes, fully showcasing the flavors of seasonal ingredients. Through the windows, children will chat with the kitchen staff, asking "What's for lunch today?" and saying "It smells so good!" While enjoying the sounds and aromas of cooking, they wait for their lunch with great anticipation. An outdoor cooking day is also held every month, letting children make their own meals by hand.

13:00 - 14:30 Afternoon Activity Time

We provide indoor game activities (picture books, origami, clay, etc.) and hands-on crafting (making wooden swords and chopstick guns). We also play group games (red light green light, soccer, hide-and-seek, etc.) and go for walks (to the beach, sports fields, parks, etc.), letting children spend a fulfilling time together with friends and school staff.

14:30 - 15:00 Recap / Snack Time / Daily Reflection

Children share the stories of their day and express their feelings at the time. Children listen to one another, reflecting on what they learned from play, thereby transforming their daily campus experience into a variety of precious lessons. Dismissal and pick-up at 15:00.

Parental Participation

- Monday: Full-day parental participation is required, including joining natural experience activities together, while guiding children to familiarize themselves with the unfamiliar environment.

- Friday: Parent social and exchange meeting, sharing observed changes in children during the period, parenting experiences, etc. (Conducted in Japanese, with our tour leader and translator accompanying for support).

Summer Camp Activity Highlights

Program Overview

Program Structure:

  • The host organization is a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) founded in 2004, which has been operating locally for over 20 years. In recent years, past students have gradually returned to the school, passing down the same learning journey and experience.

  • It provides a 100% local, deep educational environment that is strictly not designed for standard tourists.

  • The school does not open registration to individual foreign applicants. Our organization serves as the exclusive overseas group enrollment channel. We warmly welcome parents from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Macau to register together.

Target Audience:

  •  This activity is mainly designed for Japanese students (preschool to elementary school) as the primary intake, and Taiwanese students will participate alongside them to co-learn with Japanese peers and join various activities together. Not only the students, but parents also have the opportunity to connect with other overseas families who share the exact same values.

  • We warmly welcome Mandarin/English-speaking families from Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore to join this trilingual program together.

Our Staff (Group Leader):

  • Equipped with professional educational backgrounds and extensive experience in leading groups overseas. Providing full-scale support throughout the entire journey, acting as a professional communication bridge between parents and the school to ensure the program runs perfectly.

Registration & Deadlines:

    • Program Dates: 8/16 (Sun) – 8/22 (Sat), 2026

    • Registration Deadline: June 30th, 2026

Accommodation

Room Types:

  • For accommodations, priority is given to “Home-style” lodgings equipped with a kitchen or a simple dining table, rather than standard, small business hotel rooms. Rooms can comfortably accommodate 2–4 people, allowing this experience to truly deliver an authentic feel of “living like a local.”

Location & Convenience:

  •  Within a 15-minute walk to the school, the surrounding area features supermarkets, B&Bs (Minshuku), or apartment-style hotels. With a local supermarket nearby, parents can pick up fresh ingredients after school, prepare dinner together with their children, and enjoy precious family bonding time. Alternatively, you may choose to rent a car as your mode of transportation (car rental is approximately USD$25–35/day).

Accommodation Packages

In addition to Plans A and B listed below, other backup options are available.
Prices vary for each accommodation location—some require renting a car, while others are within walking distance.

Transportation Guide (Flights & Car Rentals)

  • Direct Flights from Taiwan: Direct flights from Taiwan to Okinawa depart from Taoyuan (TPE), Taichung (RMQ), and Kaohsiung (KHH). The flight time is approximately 1.5 hours.

  • Departing from Singapore: Direct flights from Singapore (SIN) to Okinawa Naha (OKA) take approximately 5.5 hours (Scoot direct flight). If your children are young, we also recommend transferring at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) or visiting Taoyuan QingPu (20-minute from the airport) for a curated 1-day tour, before taking a direct 1.5-hour flight from TPE to OKA the following day.

  • Departing from Hong Kong: Direct flights from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Okinawa Naha (OKA) are available daily, with a flight time of approximately 2.5 hours.

  • Getting Around by Car Rental: The school campus and accommodations are about a 50-minute drive (~30 KM) from Naha Airport (OKA). We highly recommend renting a car through OTS Rent-a-Car; their company offers the most comprehensive insurance coverage, which significantly reduces your travel risks.
